Peer-Review Policy
All research articles, and the other types of articles, published by the ARUMS PRESS journals undergo a thorough peer review process which it is necessary for the quality, validity, and originality of research articles before publication. Peer review is a process where independent researchers, experts in the relevant field, evaluate a submitted manuscript. In JArUMS articles are reviewed in a double-blind manner, which means that during the reviewing process the names of the authors are unknown to the reviewers and vice versa. Each article is sent to a maximum of three peer reviewers. The referee may comment accept as is or with revision or reject. All the submitted manuscripts are also evaluated for plagiarism checks. Two duplicates of the revised manuscript are sent to the Editors-in-Chief for more evaluation. The ending result is completed based on the referees' comments and the specific editorial board recommendation. The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the comments of reviewers and in case of clear discrepancies in the comments. In the journal website (journal’s peer review policy), this policy is available with more details.
Peer review of editorial board submissions
Editorial board submissions (papers authored by Editors or Editorial Board Members of the title) will be sent to Editors unaffiliated with the author or institution and monitored carefully to ensure there is no peer review bias.
After receipt and approve of a manuscript by the Editor-in-Chief for continuing the review process, it will be sent to the other editorial board members who sends the manuscript to an appropriate number of reviewers with double-blind manner. Editors may ask for suggested reviewer names from an Editorial Board Member. Comments from reviewers are examined by the Editor-in-Chief and/or Associate Editors, who make the final decisions.
